Linear progression guide
The simplest progression model and when it stops being enough.
The process of making training gradually more challenging or better matched to your current ability.
The process of making training gradually more challenging or better matched to your current ability.
Progression can mean adding load, reps, sets, range of motion, density, frequency, technical quality, or a harder variation. It does not have to mean adding weight every session forever.
Useful progression is specific and recoverable. If the target changes so fast that technique, pain, or recovery fall apart, the plan is no longer proving progress.
